We heart our city!

One of the core values at Renew Church is simply, “We Love our City”, and one of the ways we show that is by serving our community.  We are preparing to do a Serve Day this Saturday at Norma Butler Bossard Elementary from 9am-1pm and we would love to have your support. Over the last several months, we have built a great relationship with the school and we hope to continue to foster the relationship through our outreach events and ministry to the 1100+ students and 100+ teachers/faculty.

​Originally, we had planned a big landscaping project but realized that we needed to hire a person to move the landscape rocks from the parking lot (where they will be delivered) to the flower beds and the machine operator is unavailable until Monday.  For those of you wanting to get your hands dirty, don’t worry- we have other indoor and outdoor projects planned!  We will be helping with projects around the school including preparing gift bags for teachers, spreading mulch, planting small plants in the front and some other miscellaneous odd jobs.  Also, we are going to send some from our team downtown to deliver meals with our Homeless Ministry.  If you have never been a part of this outreach- I think you will be surprised at how much of a blessing this is.

This Sunday, I begin a new series called, “Domino Effect” and I will be sharing the profound impact that seemingly insignificant things can ultimately have on our lives and others.  Don’t miss week 1 of Domino Effect!
