About US
Treavor and Misty have been married since 2000. They have two beautiful daughters, Emily (2005) and Macey (2010), that we’re both born here in Miami. Misty is a stay-at-home mom and aspiring home school teacher! (Both our girls were in Private School through June of 2018.) Misty loves a good home design show, going out to dinner and just being with family. Although Emily and Macey are separated by age they love each other very much and they look out for each other and their little dog, Trixey.
Treavor was born on the mission field in Belize and grew up in the Church of the Nazarene where his parents served as missionaries and here in South Florida as mission directors for the Caribbean in the 1980’s. His Dad, Rev. Tom Pound, was the District Superintendent for the Space Coast District, a pioneer work for the Church of the Nazarene that saw 17 new churches planted during his brief time of service. Treavor spent his Middle and High School years in Oklahoma where he met Misty and they were later married. In 2001, they moved to Miami where he earned his BA from Trinity International University in Organizational Leadership (2003). They came to Miami to serve as volunteer youth leaders at Redland Church and stayed to become full time youth pastors from 2006-2012. In 2013, Treavor became the Senior Pastor at Redland Church. During this time, Treavor earned a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University (2016).
In December 2015, Treavor was asked to be part of supporting a new church in the Kendall area. This is a community where the church of the Nazarene is almost non-existent. Since that time, leadership has not surfaced for the starting of this church, but they truly believed it was because God was calling them to plant this church. They sold their home in Homestead and moved to Kendall to begin serving the community there.
Treavor loves Jesus, his family, Miami, running, enchiladas, Heat basketball and sharing these passions with others!

About kendall
Renew Church was planted in Miami-Dade County Florida which is the southernmost county on the U.S. mainland. According to a 2017 Census report the county had a population of 2,751,796 making it the most populist county in Florida and making it the seventh-most populous county in the U.S. It is also Florida’s third-largest county in terms of land area, with 1,946 square miles.
Miami-Dade County is one of the three counties in South Florida that make up the Miami metropolitan area. Kendall is a suburb in the unincorporated area of Miami-Dade County with an estimated population of 75,371 (April 1, 2010 Census). In August of 1992, Kendall and the surrounding South Dade area was severely damaged by Hurricane Andrew. Many of the homes and businesses were destroyed. In subsequent years the area was slowly rebuilt. In more recent years, Kendall has seen exponential growth and yet the church has very little presence in this great community. Within this backdrop, the Kendall suburb of Miami-Dade County is fertile ground to plant a new church. The community is populated by young families and its residents are diverse, with a large percentage coming from Latin American descent. In addition, there is a large college, Miami-Dade College, Kendall Campus with a student body of approximately 65,000 students, which enhances the mission field in Kendall.
We planted a community church within the heart of the Kendall community which will minister to its multicultural residents. We developed a church home where a diverse group of people serve God: where new beginnings are launched; where service to others is considered a privilege not a burden; where children and youth are nurtured in faith; and where the children of God will serve their community with courage and compassion. We become a church where the lost and hurting will find renewal and healing; where people are nurtured to develop their spiritual gifts and use them to discover fulfillment in their lives. We became a catalyst for the renewal of the Kendall Community for the glory of God Almighty!
