We love our moms, and this Sunday at Renew, we are excited to celebrate them in a special way! We invite you and your family to join us for a beautiful Mother’s Day experience filled with love, encouragement, and meaningful moments for everyone.

Our RC Kids have prepared a sweet and memorable PRESENTATION just for the moms, and we’ll also have an amazing PHOTO BOOTH so families can capture special memories together. Plus, we’re setting up a BOUQUET BAR where every mom can create their own custom bouquet!  Plus, we have a RAFFLE PRIZE that we will be giving away in each service at 9A, 10:30A and 12P! 

Our prayer is that every mother who walks through our doors leaves feeling honored, valued, encouraged, and deeply cared for.

We also recognize that Mother’s Day can bring mixed emotions and may be difficult for some. Please know that we see you, the Lord sees you, and you are deeply loved and cared for by Him.

Invite your family, friends, neighbors, and loved ones to join us for this meaningful Sunday at Renew. We can’t wait to celebrate together!

P.S. Misfit Youth is hosting their annual Gala Fundraiser on Friday May 8 at 7:00PM! It is going to be a great night of entertainment, testimonies and fun to help students go to summer camp next month.  The theme for the night is, “A Night at the Theater”.  Tickets are $25 and we would love to have you attend! Jesus didn’t just come, teach, and leave--He started something.

In the book of Acts, we see that everything Jesus began to do and teach didn’t end when He went to heaven… it was just the beginning. After His resurrection, Jesus gave undeniable proof that He was alive, spent time with His followers, and prepared them for “What’s Next”.

Because the question wasn’t if God was moving… it was What’s Next?

From that moment on, ordinary people were filled with the Holy Spirit and stepped into an extraordinary mission—sharing the message of Jesus and building His Church.

And the truth is… the story didn’t stop there.

God is still moving.

The mission is still alive.

And the question is still the same:

What’s next for us?

Last Saturday at the Beach in Key Biscayne, we experienced something truly powerful as 31 people stepped into the water and publicly declared their faith. Each story was unique, but every decision reflected a life being transformed by God’s grace. It was a beautiful reminder that no matter where you’ve been or what your journey looks like, God is always at work drawing people to Himself.  As I stood before that group preparing to lead them in the Baptism Ceremony, I couldn’t help but think about how this moment was an answer to prayer for someone’s parent, spouse, friend or family member!  

There’s something incredibly special about celebrating life change together, surrounded by a community of people that are cheering you on!  Moments like this remind us that faith isn’t meant to be lived alone—it’s meant to be shared, strengthened, and grown within a church family that walks alongside you.

If you’ve been thinking about your next step, now is a great time to get connected at Renew. Whether it’s attending Growth Track to better understand the Vision of Renew, serving on a team, or joining a group, there’s a place for you here. Don’t wait to be part of what God is doing—jump in, get involved, and experience it for yourself.

If you have children, we have great opportunities for them as well!  RC Kids is hosting a “Royal Treasure Quest” in their Kingdom Adventures series in all three services and Misfit Youth (H.S./M.S. Teens) will be coming together on Friday at 6:30pm for Games, Fellowship and a message that will inspire them!

Hi there!
We had an amazing time at our 2nd annual Beats and Bites event last Sunday!  There was great music, lots of delicious food and some fun for the kids!  Congrats to Misfit Youth on winning the competition with their tasty treats!  

This Saturday is our Beach Baptism at Bill Baggs Cape Florida (El Farito) in Key Biscayne!  We will start promptly at 10am and follow the baptism with a picnic together so please bring food for you and your family and plan on hanging out with us!  

On Sunday, we are continuing our “Deep Faith” Series from a Scripture describes as a day “that has never been like it before or since…”  Invite a friend for this powerful service together! 

Also, I would love for you to attend Super Growth Track at 10:30am in the Connections Room if you have never been!  We will have a delicious hot meal so come hungry and this will be a great opportunity for you to learn our mission, vision and values!  Super Growth Track will last about 50 minutes so please consider attending our 9am or 12pm Service so that you can join in at 10:30am!  

Finally, keep looking for opportunities to share an “Act of Kindness” this month!  I received a text on Monday from Nalini who bought dinner for her neighbor who had only had four hours of sleep the day before after driving in from Chicago!  That is amazing!  You never know what that small gesture might do - it could lead to a conversation that changes someone’s life!

This past weekend, we looked at the story of Mary Magdalene’s encounter with Jesus at His resurrection.  Jesus called her name and it changed everything!

I want to encourage you to jump in to all the things we have happening at Renew!  I often say, “One of the best ways to grow in your relationship with God is growing in relationship with His people.”

Don’t miss “Beats and Bites” this weekend with great food, a live DJ, Bounce House for the Kids and More!  Also, we are kicking off our "Deep Faith" series - where we will look at how to have an authentic faith in an artificial world.  Plus, RC Kids will be hosting Kingdom Adventures, kids will enjoy special games, crafts, and fun activities each week!

We will also be doing a Beach Baptism on April 18th at Bill Baggs Cape Florida in Key Biscayne. We have rented a pavilion and will celebrate baptism and enjoy a picnic together. CLICK HERE to sign up for Baptism!

Easter weekend is almost here, and we can’t wait to worship with you! Our team has poured their hearts into every detail—from stage design and sound to drama and lighting—to help you truly experience the story of Jesus.

This year’s message is entitled, “Called by Name”.
I’m concluding our “What He Said” series by looking at the Resurrection through the eyes of a woman who almost didn’t recognize Jesus.  It only took one word from Jesus for her eyes to be opened!

A one-hour service with Scripture, worship, and communion as we reflect on Christ’s sacrifice.

With thousands of eggs, your kids are going to have a blast! Don’t forget to bring a basket or bag!

Is childcare safe? Yes! All kids team members are background checked and trained. We use a secure check-in/out system.

What should I wear?  Whatever makes you comfortable—come as you are!  But also, don’t forget that the Photo Booth is going to be really special so dress accordingly.  

How long are the services? About 65 minutes.

Hi there!I wanted to take a moment to remind you of what we talked about this past weekend and encourage you as we prepare for Easter at Renew!  


Last Sunday, we focused on the story of Lazarus in John 11 and the powerful truth that God’s delays are not God’s denials. Mary and Martha believed Jesus could heal their brother—but when He didn’t show up in time, it seemed like hope was lost. Yet Jesus was not late. He was working on a greater miracle.


Sometimes we pray and expect immediate answers, but God sometimes moves in what you might call a slow motion miracle. In those moments of waiting, pain, and uncertainty, He is doing something in us before He does something for us. And when He does move, He doesn’t just meet expectations—He exceeds them!


And the great thing is - Lazarus didn’t do anything to earn his miracle. Jesus did it all. May that be a reminder that we don’t have to “help God out”—we simply have to trust Him.  Whatever your “Lazarus situation” is today, don’t give up. Trust God’s timing. He is still working.


Be sure to pray and invite friends, neighbors and families to Renew this Easter!  You never know, a simple invitation (even forwarding this email) might just change their life!

Most of the time, this weekly email focuses on Renew events and activities—but every now and then, I like to share a bit of what’s happening in my personal life.

Last week, I had the opportunity to take my family to New York City for a few days. It’s a special place for us—Misty and I went there on our honeymoon, and we’ve tried to return every five years to celebrate our anniversary. We weren’t able to go for our 25th, so this year we decided to take our girls for the first time as a special trip, especially now that they’re older.

We had an incredible time together—enjoying great food, lots of walking, plenty of photo moments, and even a few hours of snow! I’m so thankful for our team and for the ability, even in busy seasons, to step away and prioritize family while celebrating all that God has done in our lives.

Don’t miss this weekend as I preach Week 4 of “What He Said,” where we’ll look at another powerful story of Jesus calling someone by name. Remember--Jesus knows your name!

Hi there!
RC Kids hosted an awesome “Sidekick Night” while parents enjoyed a “Painting with a Twist” date night! The building was FULL of laughter, games, and fun.  I saw one of our RC Kids in the neighborhood the next day and she was still wearing her superhero cape and mask! 😁

A huge shoutout to Misfit Youth for showing up and serving so well. They helped make the night special for every kid who walked through the doors. 

This is a glimpse into what church family looks like. ❤️

We are officially less than a month away from Easter and we could not be more excited about what God is going to do in and through our church during this season. Easter is a powerful reminder of the hope we have because of the resurrection of Jesus, and it’s one of the most meaningful opportunities we have all year to invite others to experience the life-changing message of the gospel.  Our teams have already begun preparing with 4 unforgettable services plus we have egg hunts and a really nice photo booth to get a nice pic of your family to remember this day!  (Plus we will have 2 special Good Friday services at 6P and 7:30P to remember the sacrifice Christ made for us.)

I want to encourage you to begin praying now about who you can invite to join you at Renew for Easter. Think about friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, or anyone in your life who might need hope, encouragement, or a place to belong. A simple invitation can open the door for someone to encounter Jesus in a new way. Easter services are one of the easiest times for people to say “yes” to church, and your invitation could make an eternal difference.  This Sunday, we will begin praying for the 5 people that you want to see join you on Easter weekend through our “5 for 5” Campaign.

I also want to take a moment to Thank You for your continued faithfulness in giving. Your tithes and offering make everything we do at Renew possible—from serving our community and creating welcoming environments to discipling people and sharing the message of Jesus each week. Your giving fuels the mission and helps us reach more people with hope.  In just the last 2 months we have seen over 100 people make a decision for Christ - not just in our worship services but also including those in RC Kids and Misfit Youth!  We also had 27 baptisms since 2026 started!  That is a record number for Renew Church! 

Additionally, because of your giving, we just gave Hope Center Miami $2000 to help with the Men’s Recovery program!  If you have never given to Renew, now is a great time to make a commitment to help us fulfill our mission of "Leading People to a Renewed Life in Christ!"  CLICK HERE to give to Renew.
Lastly, a quick reminder that Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend! Clocks move forward Saturday night, so we lose an hour of sleep but gain some extra daylight. Be sure to set your clocks ahead so you don’t miss being with us on Sunday morning at 9A, 10:30A, or 12P.
