This Is Us.

This Sunday, we are launching a new series entitled, “This is Us.” In the series, we will be answering the questions of who we are what we are passionate about.  We will be using Scripture and local context to introduce our core values that we are seeking to grow with and around.

When Jesus was asked, “Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?” His response was simple.  Its the kids.

Matthew 19:14 says, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.”  

This week, we are focusing on the next generation.  In my preparing for this message, I was shocked to see the statistics of kids battling with depression, anxiety and other behavioral issues.  If we are going to renew lives in our community, we have start with the kids. 

I also learned of some eye-opening facts about the average age of a person that becomes a follower of Christ.   

Jesus showed us by example and its our job to do it for the kids that are going to grow up to do it for their kids.  That is allowing generational blessing to be passed on for years to come! 

I am also super excited about so many beautiful children getting dedicated this weekend!  What an honor and opportunity that we have as the church to pray for them and ask for God’s blessing on them as we strive to help families raise their children in the admonition of the Lord.
