Reaching Out.

I was talking to a friend this week about all the things happening at the church.  And let me say, Christmas is a busy time for at Renew!  In the course of conversation, something he said made me think about what Christmas is like for some people... It’s a wonderful time of the year when everything is good, but for many people in the world… it brings up feelings of sadness and loneliness this time of year.

So, in the midst of parties, tree sales, buying for the less fortunate, reaching out to a family that had a fire and more… I just decided to make a couple of phone calls.  It made a difference-not just in their day but also in mine!

Reach out to someone today.

Have a great weekend!

PS: Dreaming of a White Christmas in Miami? I doubt it, but come check out the fun this Sunday at Renew Church!

PPS: This Sunday, we are collecting Wal Mart/Grocery Gift Cards for families that lost everything in an apartment fire on Wednesday night in Cutler Bay.  Pastor John Michael Gibson of Village Church is one of the families affected and we are asking Renew to participate in helping collect gift cards for the families.

I want to thank you for keeping me inspired and hopeful. It's been a very hard year for me and I can't make it physically to service but just that one note or inspiration or when I can follow via technology is a blessing. Gods will and you make me get through some days. Merry xmas love and hugs to you and family. Renee
