Prepare your Heart

Hi there!
My family and I had a great time on our summer vacation the last couple of weeks!  We drove to Oklahoma where we got to spend time with some of our family in Oklahoma City as well as a few days at my brother’s lake house just hanging out!  It was a great time but as I often say, “It’s great to get away and even better to come home!”

I can’t tell you enough how proud I am of our team!  Everyone stepped up and made it possible for us to get away with no worries of how things would go in my absence… In fact, it seems to go better when I’m gone! :) A huge thanks to Carlos Nieves and Zabrina Grillo for bringing powerful messages while I was away.  I watched online and was in awe of the powerful Word that they brought! Great job! 

Being away for a few weeks is always good because it allows me to step out of my routines and seek the Lord for what He is planning in the future.  One of the things we are planning for August is a powerful new sermon series entitled, “Unlocked”.  This will be a spiritual emphasis series on truly relying on the Holy Spirit in all areas of our life.  We have some really special things planned including 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, 3 special nights of Worship and a daily devotion plan that we will put together during the series.  

Please begin now to prepare you heart for what God wants to do in your life.  I truly believe this could be a life changing season for our church! 

On another note, don’t miss this Sunday.  I’m excited to preach week 3 of “God Lies”.  My message is entitled, “God helps those who help themselves”.  Is this biblical?  We will talk about it this Sunday!
