Please invite someone to Christmas at Renew!

Hi there!

Thom Rainer is a former pastor and church consultant and he also writes blogs and hosts a podcast called, “Church Answers".  Dr. Rainer shared 10 reasons why people don’t invite others to church. Here they are:

Personal Reasons

• I just don’t think about it.
• I’m afraid I’ll be rejected.
• Nobody ever challenged me to invite anyone.
• I don’t know how to start the conversation.
• It’s the Spirit’s job not mine to bring people to church.

Church-related Reasons

• The music isn’t that good.
• The preaching isn’t strong.
• We’ve got too many church problems right now.
• Our church is already too crowded.
• It’s too far for people to come.

If any of those reasons seem like why you haven’t invited someone lately, let me share with you one other statistic.  86% of people start attending church because a friend invited them.  According to their statistics, only 2% actually attend because of advertising!  My point is that people bring people! 

Our Christmas program on December 16 &17 (December 17th in Homestead) is the perfect opportunity to invite your friends to Renew Church!  Please pray and invite 5 people to join you- they will be more likely to attend for this weekend than most any other weekend of the year!  There will be Cookies, Cocoa, Snow and Pics with Santa along with a powerful program and message that could change their life! 

Clothing Drive for the Hope Center
For the next 3 weeks, we are hosting a Clothing Drive to collect Men’s  clothing for our Hope Center.  Many of the men arrive at the Hope Center with little or no clothing. Their primary need is for Small, Medium and Large sizes of men’s pants and shirts. They are also requesting the purchase of new boxers and socks for them.  Your support goes a long way and we are truly thankful for you!
