I have a Personal Trainer...

You want to get better in 2019?  You need a personal trainer.  If you want to push harder, run longer, eat less and be more committed- it takes a personal trainer.  And maybe you can use a friend because they care, and they will push you more than you might otherwise push yourself; but I think hiring someone that knows your body even better than you do will help to maximize your potential.  For example, I might be in good enough shape to jog 3 miles- but with a friend (or on my own), I might trick them in to thinking I’m totally worn out after 1 mile and quit.  A trainer can track my heart rate and can detect if I’m being lazy or if I’m really pushing myself. 

So, get a personal trainer or join a crossfit class or go to a run club.                                                   

But that’s not why I wrote this (and my personal trainer is not what you think)…

I wrote this because I’m working on a sermon that speaks to the importance of relying on the Holy Spirit in your life.  You may know your heart but the Spirit of God can go to the most intimate parts of our heart where we find our intentions, our fears, our weaknesses- and He helps us with them.  For 2019 to be better, you need The Personal Trainer that can help you to do things you might otherwise not think you can do.

“…But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” John 14:26
