HAppy new year!

I’m Mikey Bermudez and I have the privilege of being a guest blogger (if that’s even a thing) this week for Pastor en Miami. 

If you’re like me you’ve probably had more pork than you probably should have over the last week or so and it was totally worth it. Also, if you’re like me, you’ve probably come to a realization that between Thanksgiving food and Christmas food our clothes are beginning to fit a tad bit snug (it’s either the excessive amount of eating or we all just happened to buy clothes with extra shrinking cotton...probably the eating). 

But with the New Year here we can look forward to something new whether it’s a diet or fitness routine to burn off those holiday calories. So I write this setup not only to subliminally reveal one of my New Years resolutions but to tell you that something new is coming to Renew Church in January 2020. It’s Misfit Youth. 

Misfit Youth is our youth ministry that will:

• Teach proper biblical knowledge and practice of our faith in Christ Jesus
• Encourage youth to live counter-cultural lives by submitting to the leading of the Holy Spirit
• Equip youth to be catalyst for change through the love of Jesus to Miami-Dade County and beyond

I ask that you pray for Gods hand on this ministry as we get closer to our official launch date on January 22.
