God’s not Dead- I spoke with Him this morning.

Hi there!

Its been a tough week for my family but we have felt all of your prayers and the support you have provided us through this time.

God is in the midst and His presence has been with us in tangible ways.  I see the providence of God in so many ways in my family’s life…

One of the cool things my dad did last month was to take Emily and my other niece to Belize with him.  He asked me if he could take her on a very short notice and she had not been out of the country for over 8 years.  Why does that matter?  Because it would have been so easy for her to not be able to go because she didn’t have a valid passport- but he asked me to renew our passports back in 2020 and we did it!  We didn’t really know why at that time… but God knew and now we do!  Its a memory she will have for the rest of her life!

Here is a 2 minute video clip from January 27, 2019. (Click Here to watch the video) This was our Launch Day and it is when my Dad prayed the prayer of Dedication for Renew Church.  In the opening remarks he said, “There is a rumor going around that God is dead… BUT I SPOKE TO HIM THIS MORNING!"   That’s my Dad!  So thankful for his impact on my life.

We are comforted by the unwavering faith that Tom has heard the words of the Father, “Well done good and faithful servant”. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation to help the work in Belize or to further church planting efforts. These were two of Tom’s passions. You can send your donation for Belize to the Temple Church of the Nazarene, 5000 S. 31st Street, Temple, TX, 76502. Please mark your donation: Tom Pound/Belize.
