Hi there!
We Invite You To Join A Small Group This Fall
Our small groups are on summer break, but we're so looking forward to gathering together after Labor Day! Summer is busy with kids on vacation, summer getaways, and lazy days with family and friends. And our small groups take a little break to let all these goings-on go on.
So, what happens to small groups in the meantime? Group members stay connected over the summer. We text and pray together on group chat, we do Bible plans together, and we gather to catch up and share our summer plans and summer tans.

What Happens In Small Groups?
Being a part of a small group is not just meeting once a week to do church stuff with church people. It's a chance to make new friends and build a community with like-minded individuals who share the same hopes and dreams. We share a vision of a future filled with the blessings of God for our families and our communities.

During our small group gatherings, we grow our knowledge of God and our faith in God. Together in a small group, we share our joys and our sorrows. We pray for each other and encourage one another through difficult times. And we celebrate our victories and share good times too!

What Small Groups Are Really Like?
If you're wondering what's goes on in a small group, let me give you a snapshot…
Once a week, a group of about 10 people gets together. This can be in someone's home or at church or a zoom call. We chat and connect and share how our week is going. We learn a little bit more about each other with funny icebreaker questions.

Then we get down to business… we pray together and dig into the Bible. Some groups discuss Sunday's sermon and how we can apply it to our lives. Other groups do Bible studies focused on a specific topic or a book of the Bible. Some groups get together to hang out and share something they love to do together, like playing basketball. Small groups can look different based on the interests of the group. What's always the same is the opportunity to hang out together, grow and learn together and make friends.

Small Groups Are A Safe Space
There are just two rules to follow in small groups… show up and be kind to one another and respect each other's privacy. This means that what is said in the small group is kept in the small group. So, it's a safe place to ask questions, to share your heart, and to be encouraged and encourage others.

Member Testimonial
I’ve been going on about small groups because as a small group leader I see how it impacts people’s lives. I want to share a portion of a testimonial one of my small group members recently shared with me:

“Since it's inception in 2019, I have been attending small groups on and off. It wasn't until this year, however, that I intended to show up more consistently. I'm rather reserved, and often struggle sharing the things that are on my own heart, so I had no idea how much my spirit needed fellowship. Just recently I had been so heartbroken, and overwhelmed by my situation. It was in the middle of our icebreakers, and someone asked if I was okay. I burst into tears, and this Family stepped in ways I never could have been able to verbally ask for. Even in other times when I chose to be silent and just listen, I've found solace in their words. It makes walking this walk easier when you have believers to lean on that will fight with, and FOR you, when you don't have the strength to. I've gained mentors and friends at the same time. It’s been a safe place when nowhere else was, allowing me to heal! I am so thankful for Sandi's diligence and grace as a facilitator, while she truly let's God be the Host.”

Join A Group This Fall!
I invite you to try small groups this fall. When things get back to the routine of kids in school and back to business as usual, our small groups will be waiting for you. Come and join us… come and see how to do life together with other believers.
Soon we'll be posting our Fall schedule of groups, and there's one that will be calling your name. We'll be having in-person groups again. Stay tuned!
