Father's day fun and more!

 
Hey everyone! 

​I wanted to share a quick post on my thoughts from this week. Last Sunday, I preached a message on forgiveness but it’s one thing to “talk” about forgiveness and a total other thing to actually do it. And whenever I preach, I try to share practical ways to do whatever it is I’m preaching about. So, how do you forgive?  With the help of the Holy Spirit.  Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” To forgive those that have hurt you the most, you must have the help of the Holy Spirit. The answer is not to “try harder” but to “trust more”.

I was sharing with our Renew Crew before the service that you can’t experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit without forgiveness in your heart and you can’t have forgiveness in your heart without the Holy Spirit.  I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this… (To hear last Sunday’s message on Forgiveness- click here.)    

On another note, it’s Father’s Day this Sunday and we are doing some cool stuff for Dad!  We have a Dad’s Day Photo Booth, we have ice cold Mexican Cokes (if you have never tasted the difference- you have to try one!), and one fortunate father is going to win a YETI COOLER (They are bear proof! 😊)
