Drive-Thru's and Drive-In's

Hey Church Family!

It’s Friday afternoon and it has been a busy week!  I want to celebrate all that God is doing through you and the ways in which He continues use Renew Church to “lead people to a renewed life in Christ”. 
 
Last week, we ended up giving away nearly 500 pounds of chicken and then my friend Carlos from the “Chicken Company” reached out to me about another shipment to see if we would be interested in purchasing.  I told him that I didn’t think we would but that I might know someone who could use it more than us.  I called Pastor Obed Santesteban from Hialeah Buen Pastor Church and he said they would greatly appreciate it for their “Drive-Thru Giveaways”.  Unfortunately, their church didn’t have a lot of extra money to purchase the chicken but they were able to secure about $300 to purchase what they could.  After speaking back with Carlos about this… he was able to get the owner to donate 480 pounds and we purchased another 400 pounds of chicken for the ministry in Hialeah!  Getting them over 1400 pounds of chicken! 
I then went to see the operation on Wednesday and was blown away at the line of people to collect free food.  They served over 192 families that day!  What a blessing and you were part of it!  Praise God! 
 
That night, we had our first Drive In event sponsored by Misfit Youth (our Youth Ministry!)  It was so fun seeing people come together even while social distancing in their cars with the radios tuned in to hear the movie!  Thanks, Mikey and Yandria and Misfit for making such a fun night! 
 
Its been a great week at Renew and looking forward to all God is going to do in the weeks to come!
