Day nine: The Holy Spirit will empower your freedom journey and guide you to God’s plan for your life.

There is a difference between a destination and a destiny.

When they left Egypt, the Israelites thought they were headed to a destination, a nice piece of real estate where they could settle down, free from Pharaoh’s oppression.

But God had other plans… He was leading them to their destiny.

God intended to fulfill His promise to Abraham to give them a pleasant land. And His blessings would not only benefit the Israelites, but position them as a source of blessing for others. Instead of merely escaping Pharaoh's rule, they were destined to rule as a kingdom of priests—a people exemplifying what it meant to live in communion with God.

Yet, to achieve this, they would have to traverse a wilderness, endure deprivations, and fight giants in the land. They couldn't go it alone; they needed God's guidance, provision, and protection.
In our journey, the Spirit of the Lord is leading us toward increasing freedom. Our ultimate destiny is to mirror God's glory, a feat that's only achievable with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Let the Spirit of the Lord take you from glory to glory!

Scripture
Reference: Exodus 13:21
-   The Lord went ahead of them. He guided them during the day with a pillar of cloud, and he provided light at night with a pillar of fire. This allowed them to travel by day or by night.

Scripture
Reference: 2 Corinthians 3:16-18
-   16 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

Prayer Prompt: Invite the Holy Spirit to guide you into greater freedom, so you can step into the destiny God has planned for you.
