Baptism, Bounce House, Elephants & Misfit Youth

Hi there!
I’m really excited about everything happening at Renew right now!  Our RC Kids are continuing their Kids series called, “Lego to Church”- they had a blast last weekend and they will also have a Bounce House at both campuses this weekend!

We just kicked off our new series, “Elephant in the Church” and many people are sharing with me how this series has already impacted them and we are only in the first week!  You don’t want to miss this Sunday as I will be focusing on New Age Spirituality in the Church. On Sunday evening, we will come back for a “deeper dive” into these controversial topics with a Round Table discussion at 6:30pm at our Miami Campus.  We will have childcare and light refreshments and we will hear some testimonies and from a group of people in our church that have been impacted by the issues we are addressing- I hope you join us!

Finally, for those of you that haven’t met him- I want to introduce you to our new youth pastor at Renew Church - Carlos Nieves.  He is an amazing husband, father and man of God and I am so grateful for all that he is doing for our students and our church!  Last week, the Youth Ministry served in our Hope Center Graduation and the week before they led our Good Friday service!  

Here is a quick note from Pastor Carlos:

What’s up Renew Family! My name is Carlos Nieves and I am proud to say that as of February I have been given the honor of being the Youth Pastor at Misfit Youth. I have been serving in the youth ministry for almost four years now and when the opportunity came for me to step into this role, with the blessing of the Lord it was easy for me to say yes.

We believe in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our teens through love and fellowship. In creating a safe space for our teens where they can learn about the love of Jesus and create relationships with other teens, we can create a strong Misfit Family. We believe that the relationships made in this group can be lasting and impactful, from our leaders all the way to each and every student who walks into our building.

If you are or know a middle or high school student, we want to welcome you to Misfit Youth! We would love to get to know you and show you that you belong in the family of God. Please come out to see us every Friday night at 6:30. We hope to see you there!
