What an invitation can do…

Check out the top 10 reasons why people don’t invite others to church:

Personal Reasons
I just don’t think about it.
I’m afraid I’ll be rejected.
Nobody ever challenged me to invite anyone.
I don’t know how to start the conversation.
It’s the Holy Spirit’s job to bring people to church.


Church-related Reasons
The music isn’t that good.
The preaching isn’t strong.
We’ve got too many church problems right now.
Our church is already too crowded.
It’s too far for people to come.

If any of those reasons seem like why you haven’t invited someone lately, let me share with you this statistic.  86% of people start attending church because a friend invited them.  According to the statistics I found, only 2% actually attend because of advertising!  My point is that people bring people! 

I heard the testimony of Carlos Nieves recently and he shared about how an invitation given to his daughter-in-law changed his life.  His son and daughter were invited to Renew and began attending and because of that - Carlos and his wife and the rest of the family decided to start coming to church!  Now, Carlos is a leader in one of our largest group ministries and he is a counselor at the Hope Center.  In addition, his son, Carlos Jr. is on full time staff at our church and leading our Connections Department and Youth Ministry.  And it all started with a simple invite to church from someone that his daughter-in-law worked with.  (Shout out to Manuela Barrera! :)

There's no better time to invite someone to church than during Christmas time!  This year, there will be Cookies, Cocoa, Snow and Pics with Santa along with a powerful program and message that could change their life! 

Why not take a few minutes and invite two or three people to church right now!  Below is a text that you can simply copy and paste to send to them!

Are you planning on going to church anywhere for Christmas this year? My church is having a special live show on Sunday, December 15th and I'd love for you to join me.
