Hollywood Jorge
On a serious note, I am asking you to pray for my friend, Jorge Guerra (aka Hollywood Jorge).  Jorge and Katherine (and their sister Christy) have been coming to Renew for about a year now and Jorge is a leader in our Men’s Group.  In fact, he coordinated the Men’s Group outing at the Marlins game event for this Friday night!  Jorge has been on a transplant list to receive a kidney for over 5 years.  On Sunday night, Jorge got the call for a kidney donor and had the surgery on Monday but after the surgery he began having complications.  He is in ICU and the family needs our prayer and support.  In moments like these, we know and trust that God is in control - but your prayer will make a difference for him and his family!  

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.  If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.  James 5:14-15
