Praising God for His Protection!

Hi there!
​We are praising God for sparing us (and much of the rest of FL) from what could have been much greater damage from Hurricane Milton.  In addition to the money we sent to Compassion Church to provide water to people in the north after Hurricane Helene- we also had an opportunity to help stock two trailers that were headed to Georgia for a group that was collecting items to share in their area with people affected by Hurricane Helene.  

Who would have imagined that 48 hours later, we would be getting Hurricane Warnings here in Miami for Milton!?  Hurricane season is a stressful time for many as we brace for the worst and pray for the best- this was one of those times.  Thank God for his protection but we also continue to pray for many that lost everything in flooding, hurricane damage and even tornadoes!  I have reached out to some of the pastors and churches I know on the Gulf Coast to see ways that we can help them - I will let you know as I hear! 

Join us at Renew this Sunday as we thank God for his protection and we continue in our Younited Series.  Its times like these that unity is most important.  This is what Jesus prayed for the believers to have: 

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” John 17:20-21

What better opportunity to express unity than at the times of greatest adversity!  Thank you for being this kind of Church!  This is how the world will know and put their faith in Christ!

PPS:  Thank You to everyone who supported Misfit Youth for their Car Wash last weekend.  Due to the weather, they were unable to wash a single car- yet they raised over $1200 to purchase Bibles for their Saturday Bible Study! God is Good!
